Dominican Baseball Player Shares His Faith

On Monday, our team performed the drama two times. First, we presented it to a baseball team that one of the men from the church used to play for.

Even though this man accepted Christ two years ago (see additional RIM story here), today was the first time he’s talked to his former teammates about Christ. We are honored that he wanted our drama presentation to be a part of how he shared Christ with his friends!

To see what happened at our second location, read the next article: Gospel Under the Bridge.

Why GO on short term missions?

An often debated question, Christians have many opinions about the efficacy of short term mission trips… Is it worth it? Can we really make a difference? Shouldn’t we just send money to long term missionaries? Will we do more harm than good?

Here at Real Impact Missions, we enter into strategic partnerships with local contacts to do intentional evangelism and ministry that matters, and we invite you to join us. Our experienced leaders will help you explore God’s heart for the world. Skip the debates about whether or not to go… See for yourself!!

Dominican Baseball Team Gives Their Hearts to Jesus

Custom Mission Trip

Students from Liberty Christian School  spent their weekend in strategic partnership with 13 different local churches in the Dominican Republic and completed various community development projects throughout Santo Domingo on the custom mission trip RIM setup for their spring break. In the midst of their hard work, one team encountered a Dominican baseball team and took time out to share the Gospel with them.

Watch what happens…

The best news is that each of these new believers will receive follow up from the local church RIM partnered, which greatly increases their chances of plugging into a Christian community and growing in the Lord! Please pray for each of these baseball players that they will become rooted and established in their newfound faith in Jesus Christ.

Church-Planting, Basketball & Mayan Ruins

Mayan Ruins in Guatemala

Mission Trip to Chimaltenango, Guatemala

Today our mission trip started out a little on the edge as we were stopped by the police. Apparently, our bus driver didn’t have the correct paper work required in Guatemala in order for us to continue down the road to our destination.

The first school we started at today welcomed us with confetti and a live marching band performance.

Afterward, they challenged to a game of Basketball. Sadly, we lost…miserably.

In between schools, we went to see some ancient Mayan Ruins. We all had an awesome time learning the history of Guatemala.

Our last stop for the day was at a small developing church. We got to pray with and encourage them as they continue to walk out church planting in the way the Lord is leading them. As we walked to the bus, this was the beautiful view.

Blessings from Guatemala!
