As an organization, Real Impact Missions recruits and develops well-qualified leaders who will provide the best logistical and spiritual leadership available in each field location. We cultivate a growing pool of leaders who model both excellence and servant leadership in all they do by offering ongoing leadership development to all leaders before, during and after their trips.
We use a 3-tiered leadership development model that allows for those at any level to further develop their skills while being coached by experienced veterans and RIM staff.
MAs are participants who take on the additional responsibility of cultivating relationships with a group of 5-8 people on their team. This position is for both young people who want to start developing leadership skills and for older individuals who would like to be considered for higher leadership positions with RIM.
Once they successfully complete RIM’s Leadership Candidate Camp, MAs assist Team Leaders by leading small group discussions, facilitating daily evangelism and conducting adventure day explorations into the local culture. In return, Team Leaders and Project Directors spend significant time investing in MAs to help them grow to the next level in their leadership abilities. Apply to become a Mission Advisor…
TLs provide motivation, direction, support and accountability for 25-30 team members. They possess integrity and spiritual maturity and demonstrate high-level organizational, communication and problem-solving skills. They have previous leadership experience, both with RIM and other organizations, and they have successfully completed RIM’s Leadership Candidate Camp.
TLs also oversee team safety as they guide their team through daily ministry experiences and ventures to nearby villages. Each TL works with a co-leader and is guided by one or more Project Directors. While leading, TLs learn how to create and implement strategies for world evangelism, as well as how to disciple and mentor their team. Apply to become a Team Leader…
These well-trained, highly-skilled, veteran leaders direct all of our mission projects, facilitating both the spiritual and logistical aspects of a trip. In locations with multiple teams on the ground, PDs travel between ministries, constantly interacting with and coaching the TLs at each site.
PDs demonstrate godly character, integrity, spiritual maturity, high-level organizational skills, excellent communication and problem-solving and the ability to disciple others. They have significant missions experience as a RIM Team Leader as well as leadership experience in other arenas of life. In addition, they play a critical role in further developing the leadership skills of RIM’s Team Leaders and Mission Advisors.
