Today was an amazing day in Thailand and even Myanmar! When we came out of our rooms we were greeted with a morning downpour that continued all day. We started out the day having 6:00 am prayer time with the kids from Home of Grace. We then had breakfast and walked the precious little ones to school.
Our morning and early afternoon consisted of praying for members of the local church in their own homes. We sang and worshipped God and laid hands on them. The presence of God was heavy and peaceful in each place.
We then crossed the border into Myanmar, a country with a military dictatorship where Christianity is illegal. We were met by some Chinese Christians living in Myanmar at the border who took us to lunch. We then headed to a nursing home where we performed our drama, sang , and laid hands on and prayed for the residents. It was a powerful time with some of them in tears from the presence of God. After that we drove to a family’s home who have a house church and prayed over them. We then hurried back across the border to make it by the 6:30 closing time.
Then we played with and loved on the kids and ate dinner back at Home of Grace. After dinner the kids put on a show for us and we taught them some English. We finished the day with evening prayer for the kids. We can’t believe how much we did. God’s presence was with us throughout and although we were soggy all day as the rain poured down, we were grateful for the cool and stayed in good spirits
